A woman with curly hair holding a large bouquet of flowers and smiling.

all of my first childhood memories with flowers are knit so tightly together with memories with my Omi, who is an immigrant from Germany - memories of going to pick out her bed flowers at the garden center + riding on the cart + then helping her plant them every season, pulling weeds wearing her wayyy too big for me garden gloves + sun hat, pinching the blooms of snapdragons to make them talk, cutting her garden roses for the table and sooo much more — i really could go on and on. BUT my love for flowers and plants and gardening (and all living things really) is so deeply rooted to her that it only seemed right to honor her & our heritage by using the German word for flowers.

I call floristry my “accidental career”, because what began as me helping out sweet dear friends at their local flower shop during a temporary time of need very quickly propelled me into a life of florals. almost a year later and I am taking my own clients, traveling for freelance work and designing every chance I get.

I design flower arrangements for your everyday moments AND for the big ones. Using my background as a visual artist, I love to think of floral design as a type of living art and the blooms as my medium. It’s such a wonderful creative outlet that allows me to directly impact someone’s day. It is such a joy to get to play a small role in people’s lives through flowers!
